I also have a problem where I start with, like, the final book in a series because that's the best one in everyone's opinion and then I work my way backward. I started with "The Prisoner of Azkaban" with the Harry Potter series (still one of my all time faves) and jumped around. It went 3,5,6,7,1,2,4.
